KRISTY COX
Two time
star-maker finalist, Kristy Cox, is a natural born performer. When you hear
her pure, distinct vocals, it's hard to believe that she is only twenty-two.
Hailing
from the Adelaide hills of SA, Kristy is the only artist to date to win both
the South Australian Junior and Senior Champion of Champions. In 2002 she
was awarded the major cash development prize in the Nescafe Big Break.
After
winning the 2004 Rocky Page Memorial Scholarship to attended the CMAA college
of Country Music, this determined young woman decided to move interstate to
pursue her aspirations.

Kristy
took her first part-time job at 13 just to support her music and has since
opened shows for Slim Dusty, Kasey Chambers, Beccy Cole and John Williamson
in her home state.
Kristy
is following up her 2006 debut album, 'From My Eyes', which was nominated
for Victorian Album of the Year, with a brand new EP she recently recorded
in Nashville. 'It was a dream come true' when Kristy got into the studio during
a two month trip of the USA. She recorded 4 tracks, including 2 originals,
with award winning producer Mark Thornton and some of the world's best session
musicians. Rebecca Lynn Howard also features on Vocal Harmonies.
The first
single, 'Fallen', is to be released mid 2008 along with her 2nd film clip
to CMC.
Paying respect to her influences; Martina McBride, Leeann Womack, Melinda
Schneider & Emmylou Harris, Kristy takes the stage with a style of country
music that is dazzling, edgy and true to her generation.
Kristy
