TAMARA STEWART
Tamara
Stewart not only wrote 11 of the12 tracks on her new album "Love, Laughter
Lessons", she also Produced the album, Engineered and played on every
track. One of the only female country artists in Australia to have taken her
musical destiny, completely in her own hands.
Tamara
Stewart is one of those artists that for many years has been respected and
acknowledged by some of the biggest names in the music business. And deservedly
so.
Now the
time has come for Australian Country Music's Best Kept Secret to Stand Up
and be heard.
As one
of this country's finest songwriters, Tamara Stewart can paint a picture using
only words and music, her songs can take you back to somewhere you have already
been, to feel what you already know and somehow land you safely in a place
where you know "you are not the only one". Tamara can lift you up
into a "kick ass" frenzy that helps you forget the bad and celebrate
the good. Celebrating life. Celebrating her very own very real and "imperfect"
life.
Tamara
has been blessed with a voice that can emulate "a sexy, vivacious woman
on a mission" and in the next song deliver it with such "a purity
of emotion and honesty" - that you know you are faced with a soul that
knows "triumph" equally as well as she knows "trial".
Tamara
has worked alongside some of the biggest names in music; Lee Kernaghan, Don
Mc Lean, Marcia Hines, Rick Price, John Williamson, Troy Cassar-Daley to name
a few. Appearing as one of the most in demand support artists on the Country
Music scene.
Born and
raised daughter of a "Factory Man" in Mooroopna in Victoria, Tamara
began singing and performing at the tender age of 10. Dreaming of "overnight
success" Tamara soon learned that 'paying your due's" would be her
lessons in life. After knocking on doors for around 16 years- one finally
opened.
Her debut
album "The Way The World Is" (ABC/EMI) was a stunning piece of work
catapulting Tamara into the forefront of Australian Country Music's spotlight.
#1 hits, on both radio and TV, touring with the hottest acts in the business-
Tamara had finally 'arrived".
Her second
album self titled- was released in 2005. A more contemporary singer/songwriter
album, it opened doors for Tamara in the mainstream world and her reputation
as one of this country's most talented songwriters was well carved. It's a
stunning album exploring a 'transition' for Tamara not only in genre but also
emotionally, artistically and personally.
The latest
release "Love Laughter Lessons" is a beautiful collection of songs,
with Tamara finding a new level of self-assurance. The 'theme" is one
of triumph. It's an album that will in years to come, be referred back to,
as career changing record.
Tamara
Stewart's the voice of Australian Country Music today. A show NOT TO BE MISSED
at the Muster this year.
