Hamish and Lachlan Davidson grew up in the rural Victorian town of Yinnar. Raised in a musical family, the Davidson Brothers began playing music and performing from a young age.
With seven albums under their belt, and extensively touring throughout Australia and America, the Davidson Brothers have built the reputation of being one of Australia’s hottest bluegrass acts – multi instrumentalists on banjo, fiddle, mandolin and great entertainers with an enormous respect for the traditions of the genre.
The Brothers represented Australia at the IBMA’s World of Bluegrass in the USA in 2004 and 2009. They were later invited to present at the 2010 International Bluegrass Awards held at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. In 2011, the brothers completed their first European tour and performed at the 2011 European World of Bluegrass in the Netherlands.
This year, the brothers independently released their 8th studio album and the guys will perform music from their new album at the 2017 Gympie Music Muster. Make sure you check them out!
