Even novices will be strumming away in tune by the end of this fun workshop with one of Australia’s leading ukulele groups. Workshop participants are invited to join Ruby Saltbush for a special performance on Main Stage on Sunday.

HARMONICA WORKSHOP W/ IAN COLLARD
Renowned Aussie Blues player Ian Collard (belting out his harp with a range of talents like Ash Grunwald and the Australian Ballet), will lead the will lead a harmonica workshopfor all skill levels . Not quite as easy as the recorder, but less tedious for the family to put up with the practice sessions. Best travelling instrument – no power, no space, no tuning, (a little spit cleaning every now and then may be required). From campfire to stage, always a hit, ask Stevie Wonder.

Pick up some wicked guitar tricks from the legendary Aussie guitarist Tim Gaze, who co-wrote the famous Neighbours’ Charlene wedding song Suddenly which became a number 1 chart song for Angry Anderson. A multi-award winning guitarist, vocalist and music teacher, Tim will share the secrets he’s learnt throughout his stella career playing with Tamam Shud, Kahvas Jute, Ariel, Stevie Wright Band, John Paul Young, Jimmy Barnes, Angry Anderson and Rose Tattoo to name a few! This is one session you won’t want to miss!

Jimmy BarnesTim Gaze is and always has been one of the best guitarists that Australia has ever produced. I remember seeing him in the early days with the boys from Cold Chisel and we were all blown away with his taste and feel. Years later I was lucky enough to get to play with him in John Lord’s band. We became friends again and I immediately asked him to join my band. We have worked together on and off ever since. He is a great player and a great friend of mine. I cannot speak highly enough of him, he is one of nature’s true gentlemen. But not only that he can make his guitar sing like an angel and scream like the devil. He is truly gifted.
