If you haven’t camped with us before, we have a check list for you.
Bring …
Camping gear.
That can mean a ute tray and a swag, a campervan or a deluxe, safari style canvas palace which might win you the Best Castle in the Campground contest with more gear for your mighty erection and some beer to host the post muster party.
Some warm stuff.
Whether that be thermal underwear, woollen jumpers, mittens, beanies or a cuddly partner, you will need it. Amamoor is a shady valley near the river and it’s still technically Winter over Muster.
Your own pillow.
You know you can’t sleep without your own pillow.
A wagon load of neighbourly tolerance.
There are lots of you camping and not all of your neighbours will belong to families you want your children to marry into. However, common interests (country music festivals) and a love of The Camp lifestyle will provide a solid base for locating a few lifelong mates among the live-in Muster tribe.
An appetite for live music.
And dancing. And sharing a drink with company.
And breakfast conversations with early risers.
Or continued conversations with night owls that are still going over a boiling billy at dawn…
Stamina.
There are at least 4 days of live music, poetry, dancing, yarning, listening, telling, learning, laughing and singing, sustained by hot and cold beverages. You may need to pace yourselves, or not. You may choose to burn gloriously over the 4 days so that you will leave us on Monday in a limp bundle of canvas, dirty socks, empty eskies and without voice. Your call. Either way, you will know you had fun.
BYO musical instrument.
We want you to get involved, to get your hands dirty with an instrument, while you’re with us over the four days of the festival.
PLAY harmonica with renowned blues muso, pick up wicked tricks at a guitar masterclass or have a go at the ukulele workshop …
BYO instruments. Check times here.
